Heavy Piling in Amsterdam
At this moment two big Woltman rigs are performing heavy piling duties in the West "Y' Dock in Amsterdam. The rigs in question are a THW A-1100 HPDR of Ballast Nedam Funderingstechnieken b.v. and a THW A-1000 PDS of GEKA Bouw from Dordrecht. In order to drive the 34 metre lang concrete piles (square 50 cm) both rigs are fitted with a Delmag D100 dieselhammer.
